Math

Math is the language of our universe.  It is a language spoken all over the world and is an essential part of life, without which, almost all human endeavor would not succeed.  It is both simple and complex;  at times puzzling, at other times reassuring; it never ceases to amaze.  For all of it’s much vaunted predictability, it still holds infinite truths to be discovered and worlds to be explored; and that is what we will be doing this year: exploring the beginnings, the patterns we take for granted, the math that lies under the surface of the things we do every day which come naturally to us but for which we haven’t yet found the language to express them.
