Letters to Paris

Dear Paris,

In regular words I can’t describe what you did to me. So I wrote you this poem:

You gave me what I needed, but inspired me even more, though you were quiet and modest, you talked to me the loudest, you took me into a world of fear, and you made a light appear, your Eiffel Tower gave me power, You moved me with La Louvre, Your bakeries waked me with the smell of fresh bread, when I was with you I had no dread, I love you Paris, that’s the only way I can explain it, I guess that’s why you are so famous.

So that’s it then. I Hope I’ll see you soon!

Sincerely, Jack

Dear Paris,

To me your sights were worth seeing your smells worth smelling. When I looked into your eyes I found a big surprise in the most delightful way. The wine was not for me and neither was the tea but still you stood by me. I sang your songs and I followed you till dawn. When we walked through the streets we had some time to beat so we hit the seats .  still I can not see all that  you have done to me but I think you hypnotized me with your pastries

hope to see you again,

Ava

Dear Paris,

Thank you for letting me stay with you last week.  Everything was perfect!  I loved all your old houses and all your delicious pastries.  All of your trees and parks were tres jolie.  Your catacombs, however scary, were tres interessant.  All of the skulls down there gave me the jitters!  Sacre Coeur was insanely gorgeous, I love what it looks like from the top of the Eiffel Tower.  I absolutely LOVE what you’ve done with the place!  All of the food you served was simply divine.  I especially loved my pesto pasta avec chorizo at the Musee D’Orsay.  I am now in love with chorizo!  I love everything about you Paris, and I like the pigeons too.  Even though they scare me, they are part of what makes you, you.  I just want to let you know that I might not be seeing you for sometime, so give my regards to Mona Lisa!

Hugs & Kisses,

*Payton*

  1. I love these letters. It makes me want to be back in school teaching! You think they’d hire me with Ella hooked to my chest? They also make me want to go back to Paris! Did you guys make it to the Rodin museum?

    Hugs and Kisses,
    Nana and Ella

    1. Of course they’d hire you, Ella is so cute she would actually boost your chances. But sadly No we didn’t get to the Rodin Museum. Maybe next time we go.; )

P.S.( Give a kiss to Ella for me )

    2. I would hire you! I would hire Ella too. You could teach them English, and Ella could teach them how to be cute, adorable and fuzzy! We miss you guys so much! Glad to hear that Uncle B is back on his feet again. Don’t let that baby get too big! Love you guys- *Payton*
